Community Outreach
Using technology skills to make a positive impact in our community.
Our Service Projects
Advent House Partnership
We partner with Advent House, a local homeless shelter, to provide technology support and educational opportunities. Our students help maintain computers, teach basic digital literacy, and create resources for residents.
What We Do:
- Computer repair and maintenance
- Digital literacy workshops for residents
- Resume writing and job search assistance
- Children's coding classes
- Technology equipment donations
"The young people from Lansing Tech Studio bring such energy and expertise. They've helped dozens of our residents gain valuable computer skills that have directly led to job opportunities." - Maria Rodriguez, Advent House Director

Homeless Care Packages
Every quarter, our teams assemble care packages for homeless individuals in our community. These packages include essential items, hygiene products, and information about local resources.
Package Contents:
- Non-perishable snacks and water
- Hygiene items (soap, toothbrush, etc.)
- Warm clothing (socks, gloves, hats)
- Resource cards with local services
- Encouraging notes from team members

Park Cleanups
We organize monthly park cleanup events, combining environmental stewardship with team building. Students learn about environmental impact while giving back to the community spaces we all enjoy.
Impact:
- 5 local parks regularly maintained
- Tons of litter removed annually
- Native plant restoration projects
- Educational signage installation
- Community awareness campaigns
Featured Parks:
River Trail Park
Monthly cleanups along the river trail, focusing on waterway protection.
Community Recreation Center
Playground maintenance and beautification projects.
Lansing Nature Preserve

Expos & Homeschool Conferences
We participate in educational expos and homeschool conferences to share STEM learning opportunities and inspire other young people to explore technology and robotics.
Our Presentations Include:
- Live robot demonstrations
